Vejer de la Frontera, Cádiz, Costa de la Luz, Andalucía, Spain, España
Your note
When we speak of Vejer de la Frontera, we are refering to a small municipality with arab origins, built on a hill where you can see Morroco, and the Sierra Gaditana. Vejer is surrounded by Caños de Meca to its south, Conil to its north, and the breathtaking Atlantic Ocean to its west. It has a population of 15,000.
Vejer de la Frontera has two great virtues, its Playa de El Palmar (gorgeous beach), perfect for surfing, and the Barca de Vejer and old town, with its narrow cobblestone roads and muslim feel,
which they have incredibley maintained intact with the passing years.
In 1976 Vejer de la Frontera was named Historical Art Monument. This city has traditionally lived from agriculture, and fishing, and now adds tourism to the list as an important source of income.
