If you enjoy hiking, Costa de la Luz offers great places to do so. With more than a dozen natural parks, and kilometers of golden sand beaches and coves, hiking is an excellent choice during your vacation in Costa de la Luz. These are a few routes you can take while hiking, or cycling in Costa de la Luz.
Punta Camarinal-Punta Paloma
This trail borders the interior coast, it is about a 3 hour hike, and it's level of difficulty is minimal. The surrounding area is La Ensenada de Bolonia, and you will also cross a military zone.
Barbate -Caños de Meca
This route will take you across the Parque Natural de Breña, and Marismas de Barbate. It's distance is of about 10 kilometers and it's level of difficulty isn't excessive. You will cross through mountains and beaches where you will enjoy the most spectacular views.
Tarifa-Valdevaqueros- Punta Paloma
In Cádiz you can also enjoy a walk through the beautiful beaches. Tarifa to Valdevaqueros is a beautiful route that takes about 3 hours to complete, and is not too difficult. The only thing you must take into consideration is that you have to pass El Río Jara (Jara River). If this should be your choice make sure you enquire about the tide, as if you reach that point with high tide, you may not be able to get accross. Once you arrive in Valdevaqueros, you can continue on to Punta Paloma. |
