Huelva is the capital of the province that carries its name. It is a city with a population of 145,000 inhabitants, located very close to Seville and in between the Rio Tinto and Odiel. The fishing, industry, and tourism sectors have been the main ingredients for it's economic growth. This city of Huelva posesses one of the most important commercial ports in the country, it is right behind in importance to ports such as the ones in Algeciras, Valencia, Barcelona or Bilbao. It is also a college town. |
