You can arrive in Costa de la Luz in different ways, depending which location you wish to visit. You can come by plane, boat or ferry, train, driving...you can honestly arrive here any way possible. Airplane
There are different airports to choose to arrive to, depending what area of the Costa de la Luz you wish to visit.
Faro, Portugal airport, if your destination is the western side of the onubense coast.
Seville airport, to travel to the eastern side of Huelva, and western side of Cadiz.
Jerez de la Frontera airport, for the Cadiz coast.
Gibraltar airport if you wish to visit Tarifa, Barbate, or Conil.
Malaga airport if you wish to visit Tarifa or Zahara de los Atunes.
From the mentioned airports you will not take longer than 2 hours in arriving to your final destination.
Train
Seville, Algeciras, Cádiz, and Huelva have train stations. You can search on the RENFE page for times and availability.
Boat/Ferry
By boat/ferry you have access to the Costa de la Luz (with the exception of a private boat) through Cádiz, Tarifa, or Algeciras, where they have ferry stations.
Driving
If you are arriving by car to Costa de la Luz, you have various options of how to get here.
From Algeciras you can take the Nacional 340 that will directly take you through Tarifa, Zahara, Barbate, Caños de Meca, Vejer, Conil, Chiclana, San Fernando and Cádiz.
If you are driving down from northern Spain and wish to visit the onubense coast, you can access this area crossing through Extremadura on the Nacional 435, and also through the eastern side of Portugal.
If you are passing through Seville, the A-49 connects the hispalense capital with Huelva.
If you are travelling to Huelva, the eastern portion of Andalucía, you should take the A-92 until Seville and from there take the A-49 towards Huelva. |
