Caños de Meca is a small town in outskirts of Barbate, with no more than a mere thousand inhabitants, it is considered one of the most important and famous beaches in Spain. The nudist beach of Caños de Meca, since the 70s has made it´s name as a desired tourist location.

Caños has grown in an urban disorder, yet has not lost it´s savage spirit. During high season this location has become highly solicited, causing hotels and apartments to hang up "No vacancy" signs. For this reason we highly advise tourists to make reservations well in advance.


Caños de Meca is a short distance to towns such as Conil, Barbate or Vejer de la Frontera. It holds an important natural monument consisting of a small island connected to the contintent left behind from the Battle of Trafalgar. It also has beautiful natural parks such as La Breña, Las Marismas de Barbate, and we can´t forget to mention El Atún de Almadraba. These make for a good argument when deciding where to vacation. Caños de Meca is a paradise in which you can lose yourself in the fine golden sand coves, enjoying the beach and nature to it´s fullest.
